Enumeration of ordered trees via Riordan matrices

 An ordered tree is a rooted tree where the order of the subtrees of a vertex is significant. Some structured matrices called Riordan matrices often arise in enumeration problems concerning certain classes of ordered trees. In this talk, we introduce two kinds of profiles of ordered trees and show how such enumeration and Riordan matrices are related by several examples including doubly rooted plane trees.
