National Institute of Mathematical Sciences signed a working cooperation agreement at Chungnam University Hospital The institute and Chungnam National University Hospital signed on October 10 (water) a working cooperation agreement to conduct joint research in the medical convergence diagnostic technology area in the third floor seminar room of the administrative building of Chungnam University Hospital. In the future, the two organizations will work together to collaborate on joint research and development of advanced medical technologies, exchange and education of researchers, joint utilization of facilities, equipment and space, and joint utilization of scientific and technical information. Research team of both organizations is planning to introduce cooperative research areas such as improvement of image quality in low-dose X-ray computer tomographic images and diagnosis and prediction of arteriosclerosis through continuous technology exchange starting from January of this year.

13th Anniversary Ceremony of National Institute of Mathematical Sciences The institute held its 13th anniversary ceremony on September 28 (Friday) at 13 a.m. in the Grand Hall of the Mathematical Institute to review past achievements and make a commitment to a new leap forward. Visits from the National Assembly Rep. NIMS Industrial Mathematical Troubleshooting Workshop The NIMS Industrial Mathematical Troubleshooting Workshop was held on July 19th through 21st at the Research Institute's Mathematical Application Center (CAMP). The workshop, which began with the opening of Major General Chung Soon-young, hosted the opening ceremony of the NIMS Industrial Mathematics Professional Group. Afterwards, the company developed a predictive model for power consumption, modeled a recommended function for matching personnel, developed a comparative group extraction algorithm based on building characteristics, and ted safety standards and evaluation criteria for cooperative robots through robot workplace analysis. After the explanation, about 100 researchers in the related fields, including Surinyeon Research, NIMS Industrial Mathematics Professionals Group, and graduate students, formed four sections for each issue of hope for resolution, followed by a three-day discussion and discussion.

Agreements on Convergence of Gravity Wave Science The National Institute of Mathematical Sciences, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, the Korea Astronomy and the Korea Institute of Standards and Technology have been working together to accelerate cooperative research and to prepare a framework for the convergence of Korean gravitational wave research. [From left, Jeong Soon-young, director of Suriyeon, director of Astronomy, Park Sang-yeol, and Choi Hee-yoon, director of Science and Technology Information Association] The major agreements on this day are the development and operation of joint programs for the development of gravitational wave convergence projects, the sharing of facilities and personnel for convergence studies, and the utilization of global exchange and manpower in the gravitational wave field.  The agreement period is three years, and the institute will play a role in the study of data analysis techniques based on mathematical theory and the analysis of gravitational wave data.
