[SCIE]Gravitational-wave constraints on the equatorial ellipticity of millisecond pulsars

R. Abbott et al.,김환선,손재주,오상훈,오정근 | The Astrophysical Journal Letters | 2020

We present a search for continuous gravitational waves from five radio pulsars, comprising three recycled pulsars (PSR J0437?4715, PSR J0711?6830, and PSR J0737?3039A) and two young pulsars: the Crab pulsar (J0534+2200) and the Vela pulsar (J0835?4510).

[SCIE]Properties and Astrophysical Implications of the 150 M⊙ Binary Black Hole Merger GW190521

R. Abbott et al.,김환선,손재주,오상훈,오정근 | The Astrophysical Journal Letters | 2020

The gravitational-wave signal GW190521 is consistent with a binary black hole (BBH) merger source at redshift 0.8 with unusually high component masses, ${85}_{-14}^{+21}$ M ⊙ and ${66}_{-18}^{+17}$ M ⊙, compared to previously reported events, and shows mild evidence for spin-induced orbital precession.

[SCIE]GW190521: A Binary Black Hole Merger with a Total Mass of 150 M⊙

R. Abbott et al.,김환선,손재주,오상훈,오정근 | Physical Review Letters | 2020

On May 21, 2019 at 03:02:29 UTC Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo observed a short duration gravitational-wave signal, GW190521, with a three-detector network signal-to-noise ratio of 14.7, and an estimated false-alarm rate of 1 in 4900 yr using a search sensitive to generic transients.

[SCIE]Quantifying the causal impact of funding bedside antigen testing on the incidence of respiratory syncytial virus infection in Japan: a difference-in-differences study

Hiroshi Nishiura,Sung-mok Jung,Yichi Yang,이효정 | Annals of Translational Medicine | 2020

To estimate the causal impact of a change in the national health insurance policy to cover the cost of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) antigen testing on the incidence of RSV infection by age-groups, we analyzed the sentinel datasets of RSV infection in Japan from 2009?2017.

[비SCIE]Prediction of the Major Factors for the Analysis of the Erosion Effect on Atomic Oxygen in LEO Satellite Using a Machine Learning Method (LSTM)

Eung Sik Park,Seo Hyun Lee,Suk Hoon Lee,You Gwang Kim,김병천 | Journal of Aerospace System Engineering | 2020

In this study, we investigated whether long short-term memory (LSTM) can be used in the future to predict F10.7 index data; the F10.7 index is a space environment factor affecting atomic oxygen erosion.

[비SCIE]LSTM 모형을 이용한 태양활동지표 F10.7 예측 (A Prediction of Solar Activity Indicator F10.7 using LSTM Network)

Seo-hyun Lee,You Gwang Kim,김병천 | Journal of the Korean Data Analysis Society | 2020

본 논문에서는 F10.7을 예측하는 방법으로 LSTM(long short-term memory) 네트워크를 적용하였다.

[SCIE]Grid-based Traffic Vulnerability Analysis by Using Betweenness Centrality

Byungsik KIM,Seungkwon Jung,Seungwoon Lee,권오규 | Journal of the Korean Physical Society | 2020

We propose a technique to measure the impact of loss of traffic function in a particular area to surrounding areas. The proposed method is applied to the city of Seoul, which is the capital of South Korea with a population of about ten million.

[SCIE]Gravitational-wave Capture in Spinning Black Hole Encounters

Gungwon Kang,Hyung Mok Lee,배영복 | The Astrophysical Journal | 2020

The orbits of two black holes (BHs) that are initially unbound can be transformed into bound orbits by emitting gravitational waves during close encounters in a star cluster, which is called gravitational-wave (GW) capture. The effects of spin of BHs on GW capture are investigated in the context of numerical relativity.
